jjjjound x New Balance 990v3 'Montreal'

jjjjound x New Balance 990v3 'Montreal'

Kinda cool how they went full circle with this release. It's unfortunate for those outside of Canada, however, the first V3 that jjjjound did was (I believe) an in person release as well.

Materials: imo, the materials used are similar to the Green v3 that they released earlier this year. The suede has a nice, soft feel to it & has a good amount of color change while brushing across it. The mesh used is the typical GR material that you'd normally see on a standard V3. I personally prefer the squiggle mesh, but to each their own 🤷. Last to mention is the subtle jjjjound logo on the insole & on the heel panel. Overall, I feel like this is what we've come to expect with a jjjjound Collab, nice quality materials & simple aesthetic.

Comfort/Sizing: imo, the 990v3 is very squishy on foot as you stand in place but also has a slight firmness to it as well. It's a very easy sneaker to wear all day without any discomfort. In my experience, I recommend going down a half size in the 990v3. Imo, this shoe fits me perfectly in a size 7.5 and definitely wouldn't recommend going any other size.

Overall Opinion: I think this was a special release given the back story of jjjjound & the fact that the OG is non-existent in almost every size. As a supporter of the brand, I am personally disappointed with the region exclusives, however, with the backstory of the brown V3, I do understand the reasoning. I know it's a simple design, but I feel like those who support the brand will respect the meaning of the Montreal exclusive & it gave me the feeling that they were giving recognition of where they started. In conclusion, if you slept on this pair and it is a must have, I wouldn't wait much longer due to the limited amount of pairs made. Once they're gone, they're gone...

If you made it this far, I want to say thank you for taking time to read my thoughts on this sneaker. Thank you for the ongoing support ❤️
